Well, Christmas comes a little late this year... or early, depending on how you look at it!

Either way, RCT*Mart is pleased to present "Christmas Comes to Suburbia", a special 90-piece scenery tab which takes the previously released Suburbia scenery and reimagines it with a winter-time twist.

This release is a joint project headed by TheVelvetFoxx and Jampri with a little help from me thrown in for good measure. It's one of RCT*Mart's first staff projects, and we hope to bring you more in the future.

Along with the Suburbia scenery (converted by TheVelvetFoxx) we've got some great Christmas lights and Icicle Lights (created by Jampri) that can be used either with the Suburbia roofs or with any of the standard RCT2 roof shapes (though a few pieces were made to specially align with the Suburbia porches). In addition there's 2 new paths with snow overlays, both with 2 version of railings (one with snow, one without). We've also got a snow-covered street lamp, some hedges, and some additional snow-covered trees.

So if you haven't visited RCT Estates lately, we invite you back for some weeks-old fruitcake and even-more-sour eggnog. Make sure you've got your warm coats and mittens, though, as you're going to need them!

Wow, very nice!

1 little teeny tiny problem,

.
The pool isn't frozen? Unless it is heated like a hot tub to 110 degrees then that I would understand lol.

This is RCT Estates! Of course the pools are all heated! smile.gif

We thought about making ice versions of the pools, but that would be 20+ more objects and we didn't want this to be a "Christmas in July" release, so we passed on those.

Anyone else is welcome to make some iced pool objects if they like. banana-wink.gif

I guess it's because I'm from Canada, but I love the whole snow and ice theme. I've downloaded several rides for this theme but everytime I try to create a new scenerio I feel there's a lack of objects to choose from (not enough trees...). I look forward to putting your hard work into my parks.
Thanks !!! beerchug.gif

Brad could you answer some questions before I download this?
1. Do I have to download the normal Suburbia sets or are these contained in this download? The only sets I have are the Summer Splash sets.
2. How many files are in the Suburbia sets all together (so the normal ones and this one). I now have 5455 files in my folder and rather not go over the 6000 and having to bother about which files to remove temporarly whenever building and playing park. Especially because my 2 sons play the game as well and I foresee lots of trouble when one needs sets of object for his park, while I or the other one needed to have those out to make room for other objects. banana-crazy.gif

Neeltje, I can answer your first question: No you don't need the other suburbia sets for this to work. This is a set of entirely separate files and to make things really easy Brad has put them into a scenario. Hope this helps! banana3.gif

It says on the top left that there are 90 items. I'm not sure though. unsure.gif

Thanks. I could make a rough estimation of the number of objects in suburbia by looking at the pics in the thread, and just downloaded that. Now I'm going to download this one as well.

Thanks a lot Brad for making such nice and usefull building sets. thankshts.gif
