Consisting of two, dedicated forums.
RCT Pirates of RCT-Emerald Isles is a regular forum, set up with easy to find & use dedicated staterooms, rather than a constantly mixed up topic page, created by individual members.
Register @ Pirates of RCT Emerald Isles and Request a Stateroom today! We play by different rules.
The second forum is totally dedicated to compos. We currently have five compos running. All are just RCT 2, without add-on packs. A good selection for many desires. Because we have a number of compos, we decided that a dedicated forum was the way to go. Less burden for one forum to carry. Runs faster, easy to find through the various links in the signatures of the administrative members.
A compo for rapid turnover, for those who finish quick and get bored quick...
Around the World in 80 Days is a series of six mini-compos. in the span of 80 days, you've been to six destinations as we go around the world.
Partner Compos? Yeah, we got that. Partner Compos are something that's new to the RCT world. And considering that it takes a bit more time to plan and create, the compo gives teams an extra month to complete entries. Also? Having a bench that you'll be somewhat familiar with? How about slightly altered Six Flags parks, with the landscapes that are modified to be a bit more realistic and natural. So if you like to partner up, then the
Partner Bi-Monthly Compo might be something you've been looking for. So go find your "Partner 'n Crime", register and DL the available modified/original bench and enter the Partner Compos.
Are you looking for something that's more traditional to RCT? Something you DON'T have to download? Something that doesn't mean you'll have a load of customized objects to contend with? Then the
Bi-Monthly Full-Blown Scenario Build just might be for you. Every other month, an ORIGINAL RCT 2 scenario is selected, and the idea is to transform it to a full scale park, using the in-game bench provided by RCT 2, free rein with the trainers, (but no object exchanging and no "own all land" hacks.) With two months to build-up to whatever level you feel comfortable with, and using only the available land that the scenario allows, For the purists, this would be the compo for you.
The Monthly 28 day compo is your basic compo, With newly created benches that you won't find anywhere else bit Pirates of RCT. There are a few required attractions for each bench. A coaster, (that's a given,) a tracked ride, (something other than a coaster, but still a tracked ride,) and a flat ride. We really aren't going with a predetermined theme, so this opens up the field a bit to let the creative builders get to their favorite styles.
Something that we're working on for the future is the partnership we want to forge with UCES. They have a remarkable series of scenarios that would make awsome compos.
Using the UCES bench series, we'll determine the best attractions to use that will set off these scenarios best. Creating a theme park with a wide assortment of attractions. All that's needed is the imagination to create some truly remarkable parks.
Pirates of RCT is always creating brand new benches with a variety of objects and rides that are different between benches, yet retain a certain amount of familiar/needed/favorite objects. Creating a series of benches that are actually different from one bench to another. You'll never
EVER get the same park building bench time after time after time.
We're also busy creating new PofRCT Tabs that will present a new mixture of objects that seem to go together, rather than having to select a series of objects to fill up the "?" tab.
Also, a fun new compo idea that allows builders to select, by vote, the attractions that they want to include in a compo. Not only building a compo park, but gives you the ability to choose what attractions are required.
Why are we doing this? We want to rebuild the RCT community. We figure that presenting a variety of competitions is going to bring together people who like different types of compos. And the Emerald Isles Forum will give other the personalized space that members need to present their park & track projects and non-winning entries.
